Ive got a 96 PII with a 96 Mariner 150 EFI that been having a few problems over the last couple of years. It started running really rough when just starting up, smoking a lot alomost to the point of dying shortly after cranking. Keeping it idled up a bit for a few minutes and eventually the smoking would stop but it would still run a bit rough. I had it in the shop a couple of times over the past year and the fuel hoses, spark plugs, filters, etc have been replaced. I no longer have the smoking problem at start up but it still runs rough even after it warms up at the lower rpms. Once on plane I cant tell anything is wrong, just at the lower rpms. Any ideas? I thought maybe the injectors needed to be cleaned due to the buidlup in the old fuel hoses from the ethanol or maybe its a power pack problem. Im just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this on the EFIs to point me in the right direction. Ive been looking at replacing it for the last few years but its almost like a family member since Ive had it so long! Thanks, Bennie.
