The leaning post I got with my 08 Classic is a little too tall to be comfortable to me. Also the adjustment handle is turned down and I can barely reach it. I have the seat all the way down. I also have an extra chair and I have been using it more lately. Since I have the leaning post all the way down, I really dont have any adjustment and I would like it a little lower. I dont know if my legs are too short or I just want to sit more than lean.. My question is, do the leaning posts come in different heights? I guess there is a reason the handle is angled down (almost our of my reach) instead of up. Has anyone attempted to bend the handle up a couple of inches on the handle end? I may be the only one who has this slight problem. Like Bill Dance, I am comfortable sitting down in my chair, but I would like to get the leaning post more to my liking so I would have the option or using either. Any thoughts appreciated. Skipjack

You need a standard old style Pro Pole and not the leaning post Skipjack. BCB

I used a leaning post on my old Sabre and it was shorter or the seat had less padding. Anyhow I could adjust it up and down, so I was not using it all the way down. Is the older style Pro-Pole something that I would find at Bass Pro? Skipjack

Yes they should have the solid post. Make sure and get the Swivel Eze version as the Springfield does not have the lock ring.
