I am looking at a 1998 P2 and I am trying to find out as much as possible about them Owner says all options, what were they for that year? When did BCB get away from wood construction if they ever used it (transoms, stringers etc); and is there anything that I should keep an eye out for? Thank you for any help you guys can provide.
1998 was a pretty trouble free Loaded model with the BP 101 dash, Twin tanks, chargers were Lester from memory. Good boats and one of the last P2s prior to reintroduction in 07. Our biggest question would be the engine and hours. Hold the Mode button for 5-10 seconds and total engine hours will pop up in the multi function window. PDF of dash is on the home page link.
Thank you for the reply less than 10 hours from what I am told on a new powerhead. I have been looking at so many differnet boats lately I could be confusing it with another one. I know it has a 200 mariner on it.
I have a 1998 P2 and I love it! It does have wood in it and I think they went all glass in 2000 or 2001. BP101 that works good, twin fuel tanks that total 52 gallons, proaireation live wells with a pump out switch, Guest charger (original), I am able to get to all my pumps with out having to take any tanks out or move anything around. Merc 200 2.5 ltr which will run GPS 68 mph tournament load and full fuel. It is a little slow coming out of the hole, but not bad. I have been told that in 1998 BCB came out with the P3 and did not build a lot of P2s. GeorgeGeorge

I still have my BP-101 manual and can copy and send you a copy if you decide to buy this PII. I have a 97 I bought new and have only had to replace the Lester charger and a couple of pumps for the bilge and livewell. These boats are virtually bulletproof.
Thanks for the replies guys. I will keep everyone posted as to what happens. If I dont buy it I am sure that you will see it on here for sale. Dan thank you for the info, that is exactly what I was looking for. Sharp boat as well I like the color combo
The BP101 Manual can be viewed from this site, at the home page under Parts/Clothing. Thanks for the Compliment on the colors I like them too, it one hot ride.
