Trying to buy a new Audio Video Receiver. I am so confused with all the makes, models, and reviews. I really like the Denon 2313CI and 2113CI. I want a receiver with built in AirPlay and Zone 2 capabilities. My installer is recommending the Onkyo 616 but it has no Airplay and tons of poor quality/reliability reviews online. I am needing to run a 65″ TV, Speaker Bar, 2 rear room speakers, a sub, and two porch speakers on Zone 2. Any help would be appreciated.

Bama, the BOSE Lifestyle System will do everything you want. I have one and would recommend it.

A squeeze box server will work also, similar to Airplay but not locked into “I-tunes”, so you can stream all kinds of stuff to your receiver, pandora, MP3, whatever you point the server to. With the squeeze box you download the apps to whatever device, ipad/iphone/android and can also control the streaming content. I love it and use it daily. My wife has a samsung phone I have an Iphone and we can both control the house stereo from our phone, its pretty slick….. unless she wants to play gay 80s music…. then not so muchI have a Denon (2) zone its about 5 years old. The controls are not at all user friendly, hopefully they have been fixed. I also added a A/B speaker selection switch off the receiver so that I could listen to music in the back (zone b) while the game was on surround sound inside (zone A).

We have an expert . Now, if you all could just exchange phone numbers everybody will be happy in the sandbox together again so we can have some music played . By the way, what is wrong with 80s music ………………..

I think I have the Denon 2112 which is last years model. For Airplay you will need a CAT 5 cable to run to your wireless router. Im satisfied with the Denon.

You need to go to avsforum.com. They have a lot of home theater geeks over there that are very helpful. Also, AV Science that runs that forum has excellent sales guys that know their stuff.
