They say lost engine com. It has done it a while, I can unplug the big connector under the cowling and plug it back it and it will work for awile. Is there a ground wire or some other wire in this connector I could isolate and fix the problem?
Likely one of the wires in the connector. Maybe a dealer has some old smartcraft gauges that would sell you the connectors. Other than that, I dont know how you would isolate which wire is the faulty one.
