check your valve stems!!!!!

i was polishing wheels tonight and noticed one tire was low so checked it 15psi low, well i found that all my valve stems are cracked really bad, off to my buddys shop to get new stems in the morning, lucky me to find it now rather than on the side of road this week

I just found that all 4 of mine are cracked on my 08PII trailer as well. What or where do I need to take them to get them replaced and are they covered under warranty?

Not a warranty issue, and some are succeptable to cracking. I recently replaced all of mine, including spare.

Been there done that!! All of mine were cracked as well had them replaced at the local tire shop. The owner told me that there were a ton of chinese made valve stems that were defective!! This is not something that is exclusive to BC trailers. After I got the heads up, told the rest of the guys tha I fish with about the problem. Lo and behold had 6 differnt guys with trailers made by Ranger, Stratos, Skeeter all had cracked valve stems!!

If its a constant leak, youll see it by spraying Windex on the valve stem. Bubbles will form. Worth a shot and takes no time at all…

I check tire pressures every time I take the boat out! It takes less then 1 minute to do. I have not had leaks yet, but I will catch it before I get on the road!

It was a problem in 2007 and 2008 for all valve stems. Not just the boating industry but the auto industry as well. I had to replace all 5 of mine last year on my 2008 Puma, and so did hundreds of other folks on this board.James

i read on the board a year ago or so that this was an issue, something about a bad run in production

Add me to the group too. I replaced all of mine because I could see the cracks as I bent them for inspection. Replaced them and they are still good as new. Cheap Chinese stuff I assumed. Bad thing is that Im getting used to inferior Chinese stuff. Thats where most things are produced these days. Thats a shame. Off the soapbox now. Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
