Very Excited Just ordered my first Basscat! through JSW Powersports Australia…..Margay due in Feb 2013….A very long wait for an impatient person like me…lol
Awesome! Hope you get it soon so we get to hear how it runs over there.
Dave, Theres a Margay arrived this week with a a 150 merc on it and the guys are impressed, let me know were you are and we might be able to organise you to go for a run. I am surprised you got a boat thru JSW as I and a friend want a Eyra and a P2 and we were waiting to see what was going on. When we approached JSW they brushed us away. Matt little walked in off the street with intention of ordering a Eyra there and then and was shocked how they werent interested. He spent 68 thousand on a legend the next week. I have a p4 and love it,but a Eyra would rock, After the way we were spoken to i think we will bring in second hand ones, not keen to buy of someone who said he didnt care.
Kim has released the line to JSW. Sorry to see Kim back up and let it go after all his efforts. According to Ivan they are getting a stock boat us a sold model for Dave.
Basscat.I copied Ivans boat when I got my pv, I will have to hear some positive reports about JSW before I purchased my Eyra or Graysons p2., I have worked so hard to promote Bass cat in this Country on to watch Skeeter sell over 200 boats and Legend sell 28 in the last 18months, I have done magazine shoots,tv ads testimonials ,fished over 20 tournaments each season and have taken a lot of potential customers on rides. I have got my colours and design all sorted and have Yamaha on board to put a250 sho on it. Its hard to be patient when your so keen to get one.
Hi CraigI rang JSW with my intentions of wanting to purchase the Margay while on holidays, Jeff from JSW said he would have to contact BCB about how everything works. The next day I went to his showroom & he said that just recently he had had a few enquiries regarding Bass Cats. No problems, we ordered & filled out paperwork there & then.I would be very interested in looking at the Margay that arrived rececently. I live in Singleton nsw, you could give me a call anytime on my mobile 0448 215 187Looking forward to speaking with you.Cheers Dave
We understand your wanting to see how JSW handles business after knowing Kim. Kim has been to “the states” and we respect him greatly. He made a decision to change and pursue other entities than boats for income. We were contacted by JSW and they were diligent in trying to gain our product line. We are stateside and our abilities to verify any business are rather limited. It is our understanding from data we received that the numbers of boats exports annually to Australia are not nearly as high as your Skeeter number by a long shot and Legend is less than half the number given. They are importing boat, just not as many from what we understand as the number shared. Thanks for everything over there Craig! BCB
Bsscat. I have spoken to Wayne of legend and he has currently sold 21 including two demos and currently has two in the factory and signed two more in the last weeks so it is a total of 25. Josh has sold 384 skeeters overall and 58 in the last 12 months. These people are my good mates and I know these statistics are 100%. They both stated they would supply sales records if you like I am very passionate about Basscat so I do apologise for that.but I do know what Im talking about.
Dave. The Margay is the grand final boat. I will talk to Steve Morgan and find were its at and and if it can be arranged.I have got your number and will give you a call if we can work it. I fished your local lake (Glenbawn not st clair)a couple of weeks ago in the Bassin Grand final it was the best reaction bite Ive had there for years. I bet you had yours now. Cheers Simmo
Craig. The grandfinal boat is going to Coffs Harbour. I spoke to Heath at Bribie & offered to buy the margay off him. After a week & a bit he said he had done some research on the boat & found out it was, in his words the” Rolls Royce of bass boats”.And wanted to keep it.So that ment I had to go to plan “B” and order one. I also went for the Mercury 150 Four stroke.Went out to Lake St Clare on the weekend. Great day on the water. Had to hide behind a tree to tie a lure on.Most fish caught over 35cm and fat as mud.I would like to speak to you about some of the finer points of driving the bass cat. I have owned boats for over 20 years but this will be my first bass boat.I imagine it would be a lot different to drive than a 20ft seafearer or a 17ft Stacer.
