Rolled down to Falcon from Austin for the first time. What can I say….. The best first time fishing on a lake period ! Had the best crew go with us to from our local website too. Had 5 boats tear it up together. As always had the video camera handy and made a little film. I am EA on it. Hope you can get a laugh out of it. If you have not been to Falcon before, I would suggest you go. Best lake in the US right now IMO. Eric ( EA ) Basser TX PS. A outflow from near by storms blew in one day with gusts to 30 mph. Pretty impressive lake no doubt. I have never been anywhere that they pull harder than they do at Falcon. I am trying to get down there this fall, not sure if it is going to work out yet or not. I cant see the video from here at work (security Natzis ) but I will check it out tonite. Glad you had a good time. Looked like a great trip, wish I could have been there. Maybe some day. You did a nice job on the video as well. Some of the effects were really good, as well as timing to the music. Nice job all around!

I used 1 rod the whole time and 1 bait. The rod was a 7 11 Extra Heavy Shimano Crucial Swimbait rod. 25lbs Yo Zuri line. The bait was Brush hog in Watermelon candy Trig with a 3/8 Tungsten. Flip or pitch dead into the middle of the trees in 3 8 of water and hold on. Also, like Judd said I have never caught a meaner bass in my life. A nice 3.5 bass will make you think it is a 10 or bigger. We caught em all day. The hotter the better. My biggest was 6.72. Falcon is pretty far even from Austin. If you live in Texas or close by and want to make road trip to a lake, I would advise you too. You can make a 15 mile run and not see another boat. Most of these fish have never seen a lure I would guess.

I will be fishing there this coming November. Hope the fishing is still going strong… What style or pattern is popular that time of year? I will be taking my new 2008 Sabre with me so I look forward to a great fishing experience.

All you have to do is drop something in the middle of those bushes and youre liable to get your arm broke off!
