There are a couple of options. There is an aftermarket swing part that is made by Fulton. It is not as durable, though works alright. This could be installed. You could have a local fab. shop do a pivot for you if your talking used boats. On a new rig you have more options. For Example, drop back tongue to get the last 3″ back, narrow frame for narrow doors, though not being able to go less than the 94″ boat width. Then the standard pivots tongue, plus you can go to a 3″ plate for the engine clearing more. BCB

I have looked at several Sabres that are very impressive. One of my challenges is storage. I would like to store it in my garage but only have 197″ of room. My questions regards adding a swing tongue to the trailer. Can you add a swing tongue that will match the factory specs for storage? The specs indicate that you can store a Sabre with a swing tongue in 196″. If so what is the approximate cost?

I did throw a little WD40 on it. How long should I give it?How much force should I apply to get it to open.Yes, bow strap is released and the bolts are out.

How close to the joint do you recommend me hitting it? I am back at the office now, but will have time later this evening to deal with this….

use PB Blaster! that will loosen it real quick better than WD-40. spray it where the pins go inside and out as well as the pivot points!

socal is right!! use PB Blaster and you probably wont need a hammer or a 2 X 4. Actually the best stuff on the market right now

Yup, Ive seen a puddle of that stuff on the top of a drip can…crept right out of the can and nozzle!If its still being difficult, Id employ the gentle persuader (2lb sledge) with a wood block to buffer. I probably would be looking to use leverage for my benefit so Id be inclimed to go as far away from the joint as possible but I would avoid the slide area for the trailer brakes (assuming you have them)
