SEBCOG……. Boat set up gurus

Im not planning on fishing at this point, but will any of the BassCat set up gurus be attending the tournament? I have a 2011 PII with Pro XS 200 and 8″ slidemaster. Im currently running a 25 Tempest Plus. I would love to hand over the boat to someone with experience in proper set up. Im not getting the numbers that I see posted regularly. Keep in mind Im coming out of a Ranger 520vx with a 225 Mercury. That boat would do 71.4 while “plowing” through the water. Currently 68.7 is the best I can get out of mine, light load and 1/4 tank of fuel. Im certain there is more left in the top end Im not getting. This boat difinately drives different. I will bring all necessary tools for adjusting the JP. I can come as early as Thursday. If there is a boater needing a partner, I will consider being a non boater. I have not fished G in 10 years. So, I would be a variable option as a non boater. I am a power fisherman, flipping and pitching is my style. All responses a appreciated.

Not gonna make sebcog but if you close to south La I can help you out. Or send me a message and we can talk. My 08 is a 72-74 one person tx load boat or 71-73 with two loaded

Richey, Im no setup guru but if I come Ill see if I can help you out. You should be at 73 or so with a light load.

You should come to SEBCOG even if you decide not to pay for the tournament. There will be several people around capable of helping you out & Guntersville is always fun to fish. If you are looking for all out speed the first thing Id do is borrow a 26 Fury and see what you get.

I know of at least one person that will be at SEBCOG that is set up guru but dont want to throw him under the bus (Tom Moore…cough cough LOL)Seriously you should come fish the tournament with us, and in the off time you can meet up with some of the guys that can help you out .

Any give me a starting place on a PII with 200 Opti, 6″ slide master manual JP and 26 Trophy+. I am about 3/4″ above flush now and only seeing 5300 rpms TX loaded with me 175# and one big guy 300#s. Currently see 68 mph GPS with this load and 3/4 fuel with both wells full.

Take the Trophy off and put a 26 tempest on and start with the JP where it is, or put a 25 Fury on and lower the plate to flush or a touch under flush. With that load the 26 Trophy is doing about all its gonna do, from my experience.
