Finally found some time and weather to give the new package a twist… full tournament load, 40 Gallons of fuel and unfortunately too short of a straight away.. Im thinking she had some more room to climb since the last jackplate bump got it going up pretty quick but the turn was coming fast and really didnt want to drive her into the reeds at 80!Here is the video I quick cut from the footage… hopefully I will get another crack at her… I just need more space and that is a couple hour drive for me. All in all, the boat is very easy to drive, very responsive and a pleasure to handle… great job Rick and all at BassCat!
The hole shot was awesome. Thanks for sharing.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
Dude. My 225pro/cougar combo doesnt even come close to that performance. Thanks for making me feel totally inadequate .Seriously though, that is one badazz rig brother.

Great video of the Eyra ,looks fast and fun . At the end of the video @ 1:03 to the end of the video when it goes by ,does that boat not lift anymore than that ,just wandering cause it looks like it isnt lifted no more than a Ranger …………not trying to stir the pot ,just wandering.
Stop the video @ 1:06 when the boat is dead center of the camera………..Just need alittle feed back on this when i stop it , and does that river really narrow down that much around that corner. I hope that Erya can take that turn at 80 mph at the end of the video cause its not like your haven to run a stump row in the back of a creek on Lake Barkley or come out of the Bass Bay on KY Lake . Im impressed with the boat and the video just looks like you had more to go at the end of the video in the turn.

That camera pass was done with the jackplate down, a little over 78 mph… there was around 4 bumps of trim left but I really dont like hanging it right out with two of my buddies helplessly sitting on the side of the river that is 30 yards wide…lolIt will hang more than that but there is also a point where packing air underneath will not gain you any speed… raising the jackplate and running bumped down produced the best numbers. The river goes into a 90 degree right turn 300 yards past that point but the bend before the turn makes you let off since smoking a stump at 80 is not fun!Hopefully I will get a good run in the next week or so… I have been waiting for my 27 Fury for over two weeks and that should put up a bigger number than the Tempest Plus…. on last years Puma FTD, a 26 Fury was 1.5 faster than the same 27 Tempest Plus I have on now. Hopefully the rpms will come down a bit with the Fury, I was at 6050 rpm at almost 81 and still could gain by lifting the plate. Didnt want to for fear of hitting the limiter.JP
