Yep! Thanks for the compliment. Yours is pretty easy to recognize as well. I saw you and wanted to stop but we were headed to do what we do best…….get a burger over at Holly Park. That was my Dad with me and he hasnt been fishing much so we were trying to have a little fun. Ended up having a lot of fun. First thing in the morning we got into a major white bass feeding frenzy out just past the last island before you hit the main lake. When you saw us leaving, we had gone back past San Miguel Park to check a point and caught some more whites. After lunch at Holly Park we hit another crankbait hole and they were stacked up in there. I didnt get anything over 3 but we caught 10-15 in 30 minutes. I went back to that spot yesterday and had a decent 14-15 pound stringer in about 20 minutes. Im hoping for at least one over 4 to move in there for McDonalds next weekend. I have caught 5s and 6s in there before. As a matter of fact, its the only place I have ever caught 2 at one time. I had a 12 incher on the front hook and a 6 pounder on the back hook. Sorry I didnt stop to chat but I will be sure to stop next time. No need or apologies at all. I totally understand!! I was playing around with a jigging spoon and a jig on the roadbed. I was on a community hump a little farther in the main cove and the whites were thick there along with a few bass. I had fun playing with them. First time catching then on a spoon & 6 lb line. Heck i even had one hit a bare hook on a carolina rig after something ripped off my worm!! It didnt dawn on me that it was you until you were even with me and i saw it was a BassCat, and then it was too late!! Good luck in the McDonalds, im at work now. Were supposed to head back up on 5/30 I think. Well hook up sooner or later!! Ronnie
RONNIE, hows the TIGER boat treating you?BAYOU BANDIT
Sam, Its still doing great!! It does have a few battle scars and Ill need to replace the seats but its still a fine boat!! (knock wood). The boat bunks will be my next project. I just installed a 998 & 898 just recently. In fact I just finished installing the 898 in the front the day I left for the camp at Toledo and they work great. Hope youre doing well Sam, Ronnie
You need to bring that bad boy to the GAF this year and park it next to its brother!!BAYOU BANDIT
I will definitely try if Im on my 14 days off!! It hasnt worked out that way the past couple years.
I graphed all over that roadbed and out into the trees in the creek. I dont have great electronics but I didnt see anything to get me all excited. Have you been having luck on the roadbed or is it a hit or miss kind of spot? Thats the way my crankbait holes are…hit or miss…either they are there and you catch them fast or they are not and you need to move on. I know in the 2003 Open Championship, John Murray won, and one of his holes was that roadbed. That tournament was in December though. Were you and another guy cruising down San Miguel boat lane toward the main lake last week? I was on the roadbed near the intersection that goes to N Toledo park. I wasnt sure if it was you, but it was a sweet looking red BassCat. Ronnie
Hard to say but I would think so. I havent been out in almost 2 weeks due to work, taking family to doctor appointments and now Im down sick. Up until 2 weeks ago we were having an awesome time with topwaters just north of there in the mouth of Patroon. I was throwing a Strike King Sexy Dawg Jr and my sister was throwing a chug bug and I would mix in a fluke once in a while. Anywhere from the shoreline grass to 8 feet because the water was so clear. Somewhere else I havent tried recently but have done well in the past….you can start at the dock at Wildwood Resort and fish all the way into the San Miguel Park cove. Sometimes they chase baitfish up on the sand of the swimming area.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
Sweet! Thanks for the tip. Hope you get to feeling better Jim! Kill any deer yet or has the sickness held you back?Ronnie
Ive only been to my lease twice. Once to fill feeders and put out cameras and once to check the cameras. My Mom and Dad have sat out all day on several occasions and have only seen 2 small doe. I got a pic of a decent little 8 point, a small 4 point, a doe with a button buck, and a bunch of little pigs. Im hoping to get out there soon but the fishing was so good that I hated to go sit still. Its sure hard to pass up a good topwater bite! Last time at the camp, on our way home between Many & Robeline, Cindy & I almost got into a head on collision. The 3rd truck in a group of 4 vehicles tried passing the 2 in front of him in a curve. He took the shoulder on my right while the other 3 were on my left. Man, that was scarey! The experience had me shaking & POed!! Ill text you if I get on some fish. Ill probably be up there through most of next week. Cindy will be till Monday. Maybe we can make a trip if you arent in the deer stand!Ronnie
I think u are correct. They had a little over 18.50 pounds

Yes sir. I live in Crowley. We fished too. I think my partner said we came in 5th. We had like 15.68
