Dern thing swam by a Nitro and a Ranger to get on my boat, as I tried to convince it to leave he starts up under the cowl. Pulled it out and it was 4 feet long

Pretty common place for them to lurk. Most never know they are there and this is a frequent place they hitch a ride.

It is pretty easy to break their neck if you give them a snap with a stick or fishing pole (like snapping a buggy whip) a couple of inches behind the head. You dont have to use much force – its in the whip-snap. It is amazing how little force will break their neck. First time I did it I did not even mean to kill the snake. I just wanted to chase it off. Now, I am a pro at it.
