I followed instructions posted by basscat on how to bleed brakes. I have a 2010 model. For some reason I cant get fluid to the first bleed point. I am apply via the tongue and leaving the bleed open. When I retract it, i am closing the bleed to prevent air coming and getting good suction. I have fluid in the resevoir, but why am I not getting fluid to the first bleed? Are you using two people? One to work the screwdriver to pump, and one to open the bleed port with hose submerged?

I have a Motive power bleeder that I use on my cars for fast brake bleeding at track days. Ive made my own version of their marine adapter to bleed the trailer brakes…works great, making the bleeding a 5 minute job at most. http://store.motiveproducts.com/marine-c6.aspxAdvantages are taken, not handed out…

I have not used these on a boat yet but on a 1967 Mustang I used to own I used Speed Bleeders on the breaks. It has a check valve that allows you pump the master cylinder repeatedly without having to tighten the bleeder valve after each compression of the master cylinder. Look up Speed Bleeder on the internet. I picked us some a my local auto parts store. You might want to take the original bleeder screew to match the tread pattern.Mike
