I have a 2000 Cougar, the 1240 is on the front. Yesterday I was attempting to tighten the on/off switch, and evidently stripped the interworkings of the control switch for the 1240. I know these are no longer available, so not sure what my options are. I do not want to leave it in the boat if it does not work. I had to cut the power line because it was popping the breaker. I also have the old x85 up front, so I do have a depth finder up there. I liked the 1240 when fishing grass, but for me that is maybe once a year, at most. Not much grass in northwest Arkansas! Does anyone know where to get a new switch box for a 1240, or does anyone have suggestions on how to over the hole for the read out, and the small hole where the switch lived. Thanks.
