Hey guys, I am almost a Cat owner. After reading almost every word on this board and many others, as well as a few test drives I have decided on a new PIV. I plan on ordering one around tax time next year. Cant wait!!!!!Now to the question- I will be selling my 2005 Lowe 170W (17 ??) Stinger aluminum bass boat around late summer early fall and am not sure what to ask for it. Let me give you some details on the boat: 2005 Mercury 50hp, Minn Kota 80 Fortrex with Universal Sonar (not a year old), Garman 250c (color) and a Garman 250 fish finder, aerated and recalculated live well, onboard Minn Kota 3 bank battery charger, original fishing seats that have never left the garage, two pro seats, less than a year old batteries (Interstate SM29s deep cycle and Trojan starting), 2 sets of rod straps, and some more little stuff. This is my first bass boat and we have had some good times. The carpet is clean as well as the boat, there are a few bass fishing battle scars on the hull but they are few and only cosmetic. No salt water and meticulous care (I even armorAll the trolling motor). Now the kicker- I don’t know how to check the hours on the Merc but from the moment I bought the boat new in 05 I fish in an electric motor only club on small reservoirs for the last 5 years with very minimum gas motor time. And I mean minimum! Every once and a while I would take the wife and kids out but we bought a Pontoon a couple years back and that took over as the family boat. And sorry to say, I have the marks on the back of boat to prove where two 80 thrust Minn Kottas sat. This year is my first year fishing a club with the gas motor and I still have that electric motor instinct in me to stay close to the ramp. At 35mph I can’t beat anyone to the spot anyway. My wife always tells me I sell stuff to cheap so what do you think. Im not asking anyone to buy the boat, just want to get some of you boat expert’s opinion. Last edited by BassDad824 on May 20th, 2011, 8:39 pm, edited 1 time in total.
