It can be shocking. I have ran both the M, T1, Trophy and Tempest on a Yamaha. The Tempest and T1 were both faster than the M on my rig. It is amazing and it sounds like you are getting her dialed in. Judd Lasiter
Ben, I recently repowered my 2002 Sabre with a F150 Yamaha. It looks like I am going to end up using a 23″ Trophy Plus. I borrowed a 23″ Trophy from a friend and the rig performed great. Dont do anything yet. I will have more info for you Friday evening. The difference between a Trophy and the newer Trophy Plus is the PVS (Performance Vent System) on the Trophy Plus. I am still playing with plugs and the seal ring.
I have 05 sabre with 175 hpdi and am currently running 15 1/8×25 vmax prop boat is quick on the hole shot and runs low to70s never turned over 5200 rpms but havent had the boat very long.
02 cougar/250ox66I recently bought a Solas Scorpion 27 from steves custom props. Its identicle to the 27T. I had to drill out the vent holes to 1/2″ to spin it out of the hole but it does fine now. I drilled the holes myself per Steves advise. Best part–$225. It pushed me to 78.4gps with a full in warm water but its a monster to turn. Ill get steve to work it a bit to tune the performance but overall I like.
