Take an old weight in bag. The plastic give away bags. Rap the prop in it and put it under the seat driver or passenger. Dont forget the wrench to change it with.
A buddy of mine in a R boat has a deal that is mounted in the battery compartment. It has a mounting plate and a threaded rod slide the prop over then place a large washer and then a wing nut tightens it all down. It is made specifically for this but he doesnt know where to get one at.
We have mounted them in the sump, under the rear deck lid, or on the rear seat post. On a Cougar you can wrap it in a towel and put out under the seat.
Mine is bungee corded in a milk crate, wrapped in a towel. I have it in the first compartment (the one without the day box) and the crate is bungee corded to the middle seat post. Nicely out of the way and very secure. The fact that it is in a square container makes storage of other stuff in there easy.Bill Spence St. Albans, VT billspence@yahoo.com http://www.twinstatebassin.com Bass Cat Boats http://www.basscat.com Vexilar Marine Electronics http://www.vexilar.com
