Seat belts in bass boats ?

Why not ? I know it has been considered by some on the hill, but really, how many actually turn over nowdays ? I would feel safer knowing i could stay in the seat during a malfunction. Maybe even velcro ? Just provoking more thought, and wondering if there are any models out there being tried ? Ejection imho has proved more devastating in recent memory, would a belt help ? DB, I have been in a situation before where I wound up on the front deck of my boat!! Would have loved to have had one then!!

Not no, but HECK no! Ejection is happening because drivers are either unexperienced or risky and/or a little of both. Thanks, but no thanks. Since you have all this time on your hands, maybe you ought to think about how you can make a better basket cheaper or something along those lines!

We have mentioned a few times on this board before that we feel seat belts in a bass boat are a good idea in the industry today. We seldom turn one over, though ejections happen no matter the brands. http://basscatowners.yuku…/reply/55817#reply-55817

A kill switch for the passenger side. It of course would have to be a somewhat longer of different design so the partners that accidentally pull it or your regular partner that is always messing with you throughout the day cannot play the pranks. Just a thought.Godspeed, Mark
