Well I bought that 97 Pantera II today. I went down to the place because they had three boats I wanted. The 1st was a 2005 Stratos Pro XL 285. It was a nice fair priced boat. It was a DC and didnt have much room. Had a 150 XR6 and all the usual stuff. The second was a 2004 Triton. About the same as the Stratos and fair priced well equipted boat. Funny thing about this is the whole time I was looking at these other boats I sware that 97 Bass Cat was sitting over in the corner calling my name. I think it knew it was coming home with me before I did. It has 370 or so hours on the hull and 82 hours on a 99 Optimax 200. 80 hours in 10 years on a motor that has a shakey past is kind of scary but all you can do is hope it holds up. The comp test was 90 to 92 across all 6 and purred like a kitten. SO tomorrow it hits the water. Its 1 AM and I am still out in the garage messing with her like a little kid. I will get some good pics of her in the moring. I think every boat i own from here on out will be a Bass Cat. I lover my new boat. I have some questions. When i shut off the master power should that shut off everything? Is there any place to download a manual for the fancy dash? Can I still get parts for this old girl? Thanks.Last edited by dmiles68 on July 3rd, 2010, 4:20 pm, edited 1 time in total.
