You might wanna check the pickup in the tank. If there is a whole in the suction line above half tank you will get good fuel untill level dropps below the hole then you will get air causing problems. Im not sure about an efi motor but have had this happen on an older blackmax. Maybe?

We are going with a pick up problem also. These screw out of the top of the tank. Just put some lubricant on there to keep it free. Do not unscrew or replace it without lube.

I have a 96 sabre with a mariner 175 EFI. If i fill my boat up it runs great those other 18 boats are jealous when i am running 70s. But when my fuel gets down to a half a tank it will be running fine and then lose power to the point it will barely stay on pad. And it is especially embarrassing on blast offs when i am not able to even get on pad, the weird thing is that the power will come back if you just wait a little bit. Could this be something as simple as a sending unit.

I had a very similar problem, in rough water my graphs would turn off. Turned out to be the master power wire pulling out of the crimp at the battery. I shook the wires like you with no result but when I tapped on the connection, at the battery, with the graph on, the screen flickered. Bingo.There is also the ground block mounted on the transom where you might have a loose connection or corrosion. Something is not making solid contact, and Im betting it is a loose crimp like mine. Because of the rough water and flickering.
