This is my first boat with a hyd jp..i can surely tell the difference when running around the lake.my question is when you tow do you have the jp all the way down or what? I lower it all the way then put the motor toter on it is what ive been doing . Is this the right way??

It matters not, we run ours up for more clearance and less engine angle.

I raise mine all the way up when towing. I dont think it matters much on which way you have it but I figure if my motor toter breaks or something I am just that much further from the pavement. Judd Lasiter

I run mine up a ways to keep the hoses/lines off the splash well (to prevent chaffing scratches in the gell), as long as the toter hooks up

all of the above. run it up to give clearance and take pressure off the engine harness.

Check the clearance on your garage doors if you run it all the way up. My engine would hit my raised garage doors if I ran the plate all the way to the top.
