Another electronics fitting in dash question

My 2004 Cougar came with a Lowrance LCX 15 in the dash. I have a Humminbird 1198 on a Ram Mount but I also want to upgrade the Lowrance for a little newer backup unit. I have a Lowrance LCX 38. Will it fit in the dash or will I need to use something like a Sherms mount? I was thinking it should be similar to an HDS 8 and I think they needed a little help to fit. Ive been checking the store for any new items hoping there would be a new mount in there at some point. Trying my best to be patient but you know how boat owners/fishermen are. There are no direct updates. They are working on a 2016 project that may just cross over. Its pretty innovative and a better system than the two gimbals mounted flat.

Thanks. Yeah, I would rather keep it flush mounted than to have it on the gimble mount and have to remove it each time due to the sorry thieves around our lake area. They typically wont put forth the effort if they have to spend time removing something and risk getting caught. They want something they can grab and go.
