Ok fellows, I have a new to me 92 Bass Cat PII with a 92 200 Mariner Mag EFI. It has a 25p Tempest that is a little boogered on the tips of blades and motor is 2 ľ” – 3” off transom with a power lift JP. Hole shot is terrible, the boat runs good once on plane with good lift and WOT guessing 65+. Here is what I need! I need a prop for pulling a tube/knee board/skier, one with a great hole shot, low speed handling. One for cruising with a 4 people this summer for water sports without worrying about over revving the motor.Any help with suggestions would greatly appreciated, what do you suggest? I’m planning on using this prop as a spare for my 25p Tempest for fishing.

Bravo xs with added pvs holes…prob a 24 pitch

I use to have a 92 Ranger with a 150 XR6 Merc and I ran a 24 Trophy when I fished. Whenever the wife and kids wanted to go play on the tube, I put on a 21 Trophy for the pulling power for the tube. Just dont forget to take off the play prop when you go fishing. So to answer your question, I would drop 2-3 pitches in prop to pull tubes and ski IMO

All the ski boats with outboards I rigged up usually ended up with a 19p or 21p. The hole shot was priceless when pulling up a 200+ # slalom skier.Dan

I will look into the Bravo XS. I may have a chance to try a 23 Tempest in a few weeks. I was kinda thinking an 4 or 5 blade with 2-3 less pitch. Im not sure though.

a 24 pitch bravo is like a 22 pitch tempest…Not 100% sure I remember that right. Check Mercurys website for clarification or our BCB brother may chime in.

21 or 23 High Five propeller. Will pull a tube and do most everything your asking other than TopEnd performance. You can go 25″ though it will be somewhat sluggish with a skier.
