The seam split on the lower front part of my drivers seat. How do I remove this part of the seat for repair?

If you know anybody in that deal with used cars, they have people who mind seats for them or you can get the material from BassCat and have someone repair it.

I was hoping for some kind of adhesive that would prevent the spot from getting any bigger.

dash and vinyl repair kit available at most automotive parts stores. usually comes with coloring and even a texturing pad.

super glue if youre going to do it your self. otherwise, get a replacement from Deans. theres nothing that is going to completely hide it and if it annoys you then you likely have only one choice. you dont have to buy the whole seat.

we have a company around the northeast called DR.Vinyl. they repaired a friends boat seat a few years ago .The grain match and color was great and it has held up for a few years. They used a cloth backing behind the repair. Im sure every city has a repair place…check with a local auto dealer for the best guy in your areaBob

The acetate in Super Glue will harden the vinyl. Please use a softer repair method.

Removing the seat should be a few screws in the back pad area, and the center is velcroed in place. Then a couple of mounting screws in the lower aluminum base.

Are mounting screws in under the front part of the seat?

Im not the worlds best repair man. I cant find the screws in the back pad area. Is there any chance you have a diagram? thanks for the assistance.

If your seats are similar to 2008 Classic then you can work your hand between the seat cushion and back rest and the seat will swing up. You can then see the hinges and screws holding the part you sit on in place.
