Topic: Lowrance 332C “issue”?

Went out yesterday and turned the unit on. I usually use the map plus depth finder split screen. When the map came up I had to look twice because I was on the wrong lake! Still showed my last trip to Percy Priest last year (yes this is our first trip out this year). I could zoom in and out and all the detail was there just for the wrong lake (we were on Old Hickory). I did have the crank battery go dead and replaced that but I cannot get the finder to “reset”. Turned it off/on several times, pulled the card and switched the settings. Have I lost the GPS or could this be something in the unit?

There is a master reset that will return the unit to factory settings, though you will want to save all your data (GPS Coordinates and Plot trails) on an SD card. BCB

Mine do this all the time, they seem to keep the last place they hooked up to the satellites and when it finally finds its position it will switch to that area by itself.

i had the same unit in my 05 basscat before i upgraded to the HDS. i had the same exact problem loading the wrong lake for me too. Its the GPS reception, for some reason the 332 has alot of problems even after i downloaded the lasted updates from Lowrance i still had problems, finally broke down and replaced it with the HDS. i have been happy ever since.

I tried to reset the unit but not sure I did? But it “found” the correct lake yesterday so it is working again. Maybe I should say it “healed”?!! Now if can just find me some fish Saturday.
