Fuel issue, need help please

Water in the right tank? or possibly a restriction in the fuel supply is the bulb flat when the engine quits?

I am still leaning towards a fuel restriction between the bad tank and your fuel selector switch. I would start with the easy stuff. disconnect the hoses at both ends and blow some compresed air through them, after that unscrew the fuel pick up and see if the screen on the end is clogged or the metal line itself. Why are you sure it cant be water in one tank? Try switching the lines so right valve feeds from left tank etc. and see if the problem reverses. IE if when reversed the left tank itself still gives problems then you have narrowed it down to that tank not any other problem like a selector. The fuel line you changed only changes the line from the selector to the engine. Make one change at a time until you can isolate the symptom.irv

It may be in the anti siphon valve in the pick up. We have never liked anti siphon valves, though they are required to meet NFP fire safety guidelines for homeowners. BCB

My friends Puma did the same thing when the right tank got about half empty. He tried everything, the fuel pickup tube (some form of plastic) was split at the top where it slipped on the fitting inside the fuel tank. As the fuel level got lower (harder to pickup) it started to pull air through the split and shut down. Would then have to switch tanks and pump the bulb to restart.
