2007 Sabre 2008 Merc 150 EFI w/6″ Slidemaster JP Tempest Plus 23 pitch @ 3.75″ below pad 61.5 MPH (GPS) @ 5580 RPM (per SmartCraft gage) I am running the same speed regardless of load. Had two healthy guys w/gear and a full tank…….ran the same. Air temp was hovering around 100 degrees, and water temp in the upper 80s. What I am wondering is if I can turn a 24 pitch prop and pick up anything. My Merc manual says to keep the WOT RPMs below 5600. I am thinking that if Im running this close with a full load and hot temps, Im going to be over revving when it cools down…………….and (of course) Id like to get a little more speed out of her, too……..
