mounting a 2.25 ram mount on the bow?

i know this has been cover but,im about to mount a 2.25 ram mount with a humminbird 898 on it, on the bow of my 2009 PII..i know bolts with nuts on the back is the best way to go..how hard is it to get them on from under it?will screws be good enough?

I mounted the 2 1/2 ram mount with the screws that were used to mount my old X125 up front on my Sabre. I have a HDS 8 up front. I do remove the HD unit when I am trailering my sabre. So far it is rock solid. I have checked it a couple of times and the screws seem it be holding it securely.
