New sonar and power cord

Not sure if they are the same, if not I would replace the cord. Find where it is connected and cut and reconnect with the new so it will still be on your master power switch. I talked to HB rep and he said its not good to have your unit wired direct to the battery. Even with a fuse, its still getting power when the unit turned off. The power cord should interchange and checking the connections is a good idea. We run them without a fuse and most every unit in a Bass Cat depends on the circuit breakers only. With the hundreds of units between all here there have been no known instances Of a power surge causing a failure. The newer fuses are way better than the old buss glass style, though we still go direct.
