power trim

Lost the power trim on 2006 250 pro XS. Wondering if there are some common things I could check for before taking it to the shop. The trim didnt stop all at once. While on the water at idle it didnt work. Then once I started running it was working again. Then it quit when I put the boat on the trailer and I cant get it working. Thanks

Check the Relays and power source from relays to the actual wiring to the pump. Though this should be a warranty item also if it failed. BCB

Took it to the shop and the trim motor is bad and the 2 year Mercury warranty expired in March. Seems to always happen that way.

The shop should appeal that with the Mercury Warranty desk. You may need to contact Customer Service. Cant hurt any… BCB
