The Miami International Boat Show is not a bass market show and there most likely will be no bass boats on the site. Though in the marine industry the Miami Show is a huge time for new product introductions by engine companies and other marine segments. Today, at 10:15 AM EDT (9:15 CDT), Mercury will make an announcement for their latest segment in the market place. It will not be in the area many anticipate though it will be impacting a significant segment of our market. If you have time, they are to be broadcasting it on Facebook Live and it might be worth a watch. BCB

With the 1.85 lower unit, what do you think the right props will be for bassboats?

New 225 hp Mercury 3.4L 4-stroke on a Caracal? I have to at least think about it now before I pull the trigger? Thoughts out there?

If you want the ugliest boat on the lake, go for it. 🙂 I dont like the “transformer” look myself… Actually makes the Etec look pretty good.

Thoughts out there?If it were me, I would be calling the dealer right now to change it to the new 4S. I read that as of to-day, you can order one. When I order my Classic, it will have the new 200 4S on it. As far as appearance, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and I like the look. Frankly, appearance of an engine is not that important at all to me, but the reliability, quietness, and torque of 4S is.

I havent placed the order yet but would be interested in the performance (top end). I know hole shot will be better and fuel economy then the Pro XS but what about top end speed? I

The Pro XS is still available for a few months. The engine was run by Rick in the fall and he was impressed. We dont know the details of the boat or how it ran on hole shot and top end, though he did comment on GPH and preformance at the bottom end being fine. We hold opinion on the top end till we get one on our product. BCB
