It is a used boat, but the pictures sure look nice.Besides having motor and boat checked by a dealer, prior to purchase. Looking for damage to the hull. Checking the transom for any kink of damage.What would be items that I would not want to miss, when looking to purchase a boat.I am not a complete novice, but I certainly have alot to learn.Any positive comments will be appreciated.Thanks

Press every button, and flip every switch. Check navigation and anchor lights, bilge pumps, live well pumps. Make sure you take it out on the water for a test drive.

Test drive for sure. If they wont take you for a test run, more than likely they are trying to hide something. Also drop the trolling motor on the lake to make sure its in good condition.

Thanks for all the advise.Was in it today and really enjoyed the ride. Unfortunately, it did not have a swing away tongue and that was a deal buster.So the search is still on…….Thanks

LtFergy, when I bought my boat used, it didnt have a swing away tongue, but I liked the boat, and bought it. I took the boat to Advantage Trailer, and had them convert it to a swing away tongue. It cost me about $1300. They are located at 110 E North Ave Carol Stream, IL 60188http://www.advantagetrailer.com/index.aspx

ILbassaddict where are you at in illinois, the only reason I ask is because there are not many bass cat owners up around here and have seen a gentleman towing a nice cat on the highway a few times just wondering if it was you. What kind of boat y o u have and what you tow with.
