I am fishing Arkansas River, Dumas in two weeks and have not ever fished the area. any advice?

This time of the year can be fun but also have a lot of boats out there. Be careful in the backwaters.

Two separate tournaments this past Saturday, one too 4lbs and change to win. Other one took 12+ to win, down side of that was one 5 lber and one 7+ lber. Kinda tuff right now. Needs lots of warm weather

Was there today. Water temp in the sac was 42. Muddy. 8 hours and no bites. Need some warm weather. Knew I was in for a long day when I was the only one there.

Last time I was there was many moons ago , but Merrisac was good , and the Pendleton area ( coal pile / annex ) was like mecca back then , although a bit of fun to get into . —
