Hey Guys I was trying to avoid any pitfalls in selling my 04 Stratos. I would like to know how most of you handle the money issue during the final sale. What type of payment should I request—I know one of you wise guys is going to say “I would prefer money-DUH”. Personal check, and clear the bank first before the buyer takes possession?Money order?Cash may be hard??Am sure there has to be a certain amount of trust on either end. Would appreciate any insight. Worst is noCouger till VT Bass is finished in September !?!? Thanks, Bill

Wire transfer or Cashiers Check. Verify authenticity of the Cashiers Check by calling the issuing bank prior to them leaving with the boat.

Only take Cash or wire transfer….I have had many people tell me that they have gotten taken to the cleaners on bad cashiers checks…..But if you do take the cashiers check call the issuing bank and let them tell you that its good before he drives away with the boat.

Lets not talk about that!?!? Thinking about taking up gardening May have to resort to bumming a ride from my Champion buddy. Trying to convert him to a BCB, hes coming with me next Wednesday for a factory tour, and HOPEFULLY a demo ride from Ivan(weather permitting). Better not need my snow gear???Guys, thanks for the info. This board is a wealth of information. Want to let you guys know this forum has been a LARGE influence on my decision to buy a BCB. I am not a tournament fisherman and have never fished or ridden in a Cat. How can you not be impressed after such testimonials!! Hope I can meet Mr. Pierce, Ill try not to be too star struck!! Is he more like Ron White or Larry the Cable guy!?!? Sorry Rick, my attempt at humor, dont raise the price on VT Bass on account of that!!! You and this Bass Cat family are top notch.Thanks again,Bill

I would think a cashier check would be fine also but if you are doing business on a Saturday or Sunday it might be hard to get a hold of the bank. Ive never done wire transfers that could be the way to go.Jason Ferbrache – Edmond, OK 1995 Basscat Eyra
