3500-4000 sounds right if you are fully loaded with fuel/gear, etc. On the factory tow ratings, you have to be careful on some of them. They may be ” rated ” to tow a certain weight, but that rating was obtained on a flat , level course, not counting acceleration rate, grade levels, braking etc. The vehicle may be able to ” tow ” XXXX number of lbs on a flat course for 1/4 mile….but real life tow ratings , like said in the post above are about 75 % of the factoryratings , on most light duty trucks/SUVs.
