As I stated earlier I was most fortunate to purchase my Cat (P2) in super condition. The guy who owned it before me added a lot of “what nots”. Well to my surprise I discovered on accident that the it had 2 lights in the live well. I dont ever recollect that the boat had a lighted livewell for the factory. I have been searching to find out how does it comes on. So far I have not found the switch or the source to turn it on. Can anybody help with giving me a hint? Maybe somebody with a P2 added this little feature also.
Acc switch that turns on my lighted handrails turn mine on.It uses the sealed non LED accessory lights in amber to light them up if the bulbs are out.I replaced one of mine this weekend.C.O.D. Jr. III
Mine are opreated by the bass emblem on the round pad that has the pump in/out buttons. There is an acc button under the bass if you have the same touch pad as mine does.
Thanks Ward! So, I would take it that all I need is the blub. Not the complete because I only see the complete light.Last edited by BScott on February 14th, 2012, 1:39 am, edited 1 time in total.
Just pull whole thing with base/bracket. Sealed case so you cant easily get to bulb. Unscrew ground wire from grounding post/screw via bilge acces. Clip hot wire and pull out of junction with boats hot wire. Light will pull out via livewell. Insert new light, put ground wire on post and screw tight(make sure you dont rotate light too bad). Use blue barrel connector and join hot wire from boat to only wire from light. Done. Btw dont try amber leds…they work for about 3 months and burn out. Not sealed well enough to survive in the livewell…..tried it twice.C.O.D. Jr. III
