Lowrance help

Randy, to get the answers you want DKing was the local guru on that stuff. Though we would suggest you view the online scheamtics available through Lowrance on the set up. They should have a drawing of the network cable and backbone required. A side note is on some of these units the Blue backbone connectors work better and that the termination resistor may have to be the actual opposite value to the one they say to use. We try hard to not comment on Lowrance as there are variances in the set up.

My Bass Cat has a Lowrance 111c HD and a LCX38. The boat has a RA mount on the console as well as the front bow. The 38 mounts on the bow in the bracket holder. My question is on the cables for the 111. The 111 network port does not have any pins to connect to the female network cables present. Therefore I cant set up the GPS for this larger unit and only have the 38 for GPS. Anyone know if this is how a lot of people have it set up?http://www.vrbo.com/297770

Just a guess, but make sure to insert the chip into the unit and Then turn the unit on. And make sure to turn off the unit before you remove the card. SD cards can sometimes misread when the unit is on when remove/insert the chip. Worth a try if that wasnt the case. But, Mike is right. BBC has experts that help out. Good Luck.

Jigman,You may have already checked this. On the side of the cards there is a little white switch that protects anything form being written on the chip. Any chance either of the cards has that switch engaged? Mike

I bought a new SD card, and then downloaded the update onto computer. I unzipped the file, did extract all and loaded that file on the SD card.According to the guys on BBC it is the correct file. I inserted the card in my console unit. Turn the unit on and nothing out of the ordinary happens, unit boots up like normal, no update. Just to see if anything is working I downloaded my waypoints onto card and the export worked fine. The unit will show the upload file on the card, but wont load it.
