Hey Fellas, I have to take my 225 off the jackplate to put a bracket on it. I was wondering if any of you had any advice on removing that 500 pounder. Just looking for the best & safest way to get that thing off of there. All the dealerships around here are saying it will take them 1 week to do anything to the boat. I didnt want to wait on something I can do myself. I have access to a number of different lifting options all the way from a simple winch to a full size 30 ton crane. I really just need to know where to hook to it & how to balance it so it doesnt tip when removed. Thanks in advance, JY (Evinrude E-Tec 225 HO).
