Looking to install a radio in my Puma. I know you guys have opions and I would love to hear them. Likes and dislikes, makes no difference. What model number is it that BCB normally uses?

If you have Lowrance HDS units the Lowrance Sonic Hub is pretty cool, Im going to have one installed in my Puma.Gary

I have an 09 ftd with the sony xplod. Wouldnt have another boat without one.Can listen to games, news, favorite mix cds, hook up a microphone for tournament take offs, hook up pandora from your phone, ipod- you name it!Just gotta be careful- Linkin park starts and next thing you know its 6000rpm and you are ripping down the lake like your hair is on fire.Other problems is that youll start singing and everyone in the cove can hear you-C.O.D. I had a stereo w/ Satelite on my Sabre…and just ordered the SonicHub off ebay for the new Cougar. Cant wait. Nothing better….Well except for a string of 10#s…..After all my looking I think the SonicHub is the way to go man. AM/FM….Sirius…..ipod dock….and no need to add add a stereo unit under the dash…..everything is controlled on your Lowarnce.

Why would I ever get an SLE when the shop I frequent for motor problems has 400 L2s?Dude my plan is simple-If I detonate what I have despite the new fuel bulb its easy- Remand etec block with a few “modifications”.280 hrs on my originial lower unit- no problems!But if that blows…L2 with 1.86 gears for me! Personally I think BRP outta let Riverside sell “special order” BRP motors that the boys hand make. Just like the new merc lower unit- handmade makes a difference!Whether its shims in the lower units or smoothness of crankshaft there CLEARLY are differences.Would love to just have em make me a motor if this one goes- although the fuel bulb seems to answer MANY questions.We will see!Last edited by clownshoes on February 17th, 2011, 7:25 pm, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Im with Ward on the Sony decks and speakers. Hes right about the linkin park too! Your doin 80 before you know it! Im still debating whether I can fit a 10″ in my cougar deck extention. It would face back to the cockpit and would be fun with the kids this summer. I think the amp will go in the driver side rod box. Its a whole new twist on power fishing.
