The beep would be there if the safety switch cord were disengaged, or it required a few extra seconds to crank. If the beep leaves once it is fired off, you should be fine.

Kerth, Verify you are having a voltage issue before dropping that cash prematurely.

The HumminBird is not the best indicator, use your voltage montor on/in the dash.

I would go back to your dealer and make sure you got enough battery (1000 CCA) from the original purchase. If so, find the drain or why battery wont hold charge. If not, they should upgrade you to prevent the problem. For what its worth,my voltage reading on my front and rear Lowrance match the SmartCraft gauges exactly. On my 250 Pro XS,my battery will show 12.3 to 12.5V. However, if you are running a lot of electronics, aerators, etc, the battery will come down pretty quicly when it is not been charged recently/fully, like sitting for a while… If youre coming down to LOZ soon, give me a call.
