I am considering buying a 1994 Basscat. It has a 200 yamaha vmax with the heads shaved and carbed to a 225. It is a single console, 3 bank charger, new carpet, they say all the pumps ect work, dash has had a new digital dash installed, and hull in to be in excellent condition. I havent actually seen it, just pics, but the boat appears to be in very clean condition…..What do you think, should I give him $5500.00? Give me your thoughts…pros and cons

The only thing I would worry about is being over the horse power limit for that boat.

So.. do you thnik that is a good price??I am new to the basscat name…but reading good things about them…whats your opinion on them?

Basscat in my opinion is the only boat to own! Ive had other brands and have been in just about everything out there and to me nothing compares! I am currently on my 2nd cat (never owned more than 1 of the others) and as soon as the current on sells will order another. Price doesnt sound to bad. Good luck!

PII is a great boat, I have a 93 PII and love it, As far as price, thats not to bad but I think you can get it for less. I would start at $4K, Im sure he has put some room in the price. I just use the NADA to come up with a ballpark and its around $4300.00, not sure what kind of electronics he has on it so you might have to adjust it.

Good price depending on condition and location. Itll cost if in the South.
