I am suppossed to get my new Puma Ftd late next week. I have a few questions. 1) I have a 07 chevy p/u and i usually use a adapter to 4 wire for my old rig lights. Do i need this same one or something different with the disk brakes. I will be running a 250 ho etec i have 3 props and wondered if these are good starting points 26 fury new, 26 tempest b&b by mark croxton for a champion, and a stock 26 tempest. Any recommendations on ventilation setups and engine heights?Anything else special i need to know about operating or driving the 09 pumas? Thanks and dont pick on my blue motor! Also what transom saver does BCB recommend for this setup?

As long as you have a backup light pin, you are fine. Without it, you wont be able to back up without the trailer brakes engaging. As far as running, I am breaking mine in tomorrow. As for the transom saver, BCB recommends a standard unit from the trailer to the lower unit to protect the transom. Good Luck!

Youll need a 7 to 5 adapter…Ive got an 07 GMC and a new Puma as well. Might want to buy the “Extension” type plug in case the trailer wire plug is too short. My prop shaft is 3.5 inches below pad, this seems to be the sweet spot…start with the 26 Fury and see what happens. Make sure to keep your hat in a safe place when you get some hours on it and finally open her up.

The dealer should hook you up with a transom saver…make sure it has the type of curved arm that is shorter on one side (that secures on the roller) so you dont smash your center red light underneath the roller. Id go with the 26 Fury with no plugs.

Thanks for the replies so i got to go get a 7-5 adapter instead of 7-4 thats what i thought.

Doug its the 26 fury. Thats whats on my buddies boat that should be identical- it runs like a VERY SCALDED APE.C.O.D. Jr. III

Test the adapter before you pick up the boat to make sure when you put the truck in reverse it powers the pin, in the adapter plug. My truck didnt and it had to be fixed (the truck). Just a fyi

Man i will have more playing to do!!!!!!!! I will never get my new shop built. maybe itll rain and wet the dirt up so i can have to wait for it to dry up to pour the concrete. thanks for all yalls help.
