Ive gone through a range of props (26 Fury, 25 Fury, 24 Fury, 25 Tempest Plus and 24 Tempest Plus all depending on weather temps. My favorite prop out of that group for all around use while reaching optimum RPM range are my 24p props. Now they are not the fastest but overall use for summer/winter use my 24s gets my vote. Thats me others may have a different favorite Now in winter if my motor is set to high on the pad for speed Ill use my 25p Fury but there are some compromises when carrying a tournament load. That compromise would be lacking water pressure while achieving bow lift with two people in the boat loaded down with tackle. For entertainment purposes I can spin my 26p Fury to about 5650-5750 rpms and really go fast but that prop would only be used for that purpose. So far my favorite is my 24 Tempest plus for tournament load. My favorite prop going solo is my 24 Fury. Hole shot is great with both props. The Fury is slightly better. I think I would have more range if I had a hydraulic jack plate but that is a bit over the top for me with an 18 boat. I just had my 24 Tempest Plus worked by Bob Lipton at Performance Propellers. Hes out of St. Charles, MO. Bob was one of the sponsors at KABCOT and man was I impressed with his knowledge. He Balanced, added some cup for more lift. he even satin brushed the blades for more speed. His turn around time was impressively quick. To Be Continued.
