I have a 04 cougar Ftd, 225 standard opti… Im running a 26 trophy at around 71 gps.. The hole shot is ok.. Can you guys tell me how a tempest, or a fury would run on this combo… Thanks for all your help Slimm
I cant tell you exactly how it would perform, but a 25 Fury would probably give you best all around characteristics.

No. Jack plate heights depend on many things. All boats, motor, props, etc. are different. You can only get to the exact height by trial and error.
Phil has given you the short version. That is about all you need on the set up. The rest is like he suggests, trial and error.
I have a 06 Puma w/225 Pro XS. I am running a 25P Fury @73.7 gps and a hole shot that will break your neck.
