I have a 2001 sabre DC 150 merc. Could you give me a quick comparison to new margay length, width weight ride. Would I be gaining or losing stability or ride? Any help appreciated.

Yea I get the length but my boat being a 2001 it doesnt have a 93 inch beam like a new sabre and the margay says 90inch beam. Kinda hoping bass cat will chime in since they know the exact specs of a 2001.

The beam forward design gives you a more open bow and the beam will be little noticed. The actual buoyancy will be very similar. Ride will be a wash with similar horsepower and performance similar also. You will have more cockpit room in the Margay also. Storage is very large though quite different.

Thanks for the info. That is what I was thinking I realize there would be a bigger difference comparing the margay to a new sabre or ftd but with my boat being older I kinda figured what little I would lose in length I would make up for in width and storage. I also like the center rod locker of the margay.
