Are there any Mercury mechanics on here , or maybe someone that knows a lot more than me? Which really isnt much.

There is a couple of us that hang around here that know a thing or two about Mercs so whats your question? As BCB mentioned the 200 carb 2s motor is elementary compared to the current production models…

I knew I could count on this forum. Ok , when I put the hammer down there is a pause then it gets up and runs great. When loading , if the trailer isnt down far enough and I have to throttle up to reach the bow eye the motor stalls, feels like it loses power? Compression is 128 on all cylinders , idles fine starts fine? Im stumped.Last edited by Ksig512 on May 14th, 2016, 4:19 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Fuel lines, accelerator pumps in carbs and hoses.

One other thing you might try is keeping the motor trimmed up just a bit, keeping the exhaust port above the water line. Trim down then take off.
