S.I. transducer mounting on Margay

I used the splash well drain hole to run wires for my down imaging transducer mounted at the transom of my 2012 Margay. The actual holes that I drilled were small and I believe the ends went nowhere near the inside of the hull.

Yes. It is under the step. The DI transducer will not work accurately when thew boat is on plane. Thats left to the thru-hull transducer. I will switch the toggle switch one I have come off plane and am idling around hunting for the baitfish or searching structure. Switch back when its time to move on. I assume the same is true of the SI. I will leave the particulars that have side imaging, but I doubt it works effectively at 60 mph.I will given advice to be mindful that the transducer is out of the propwash range.
