Have a prop question for the rude guys. Took my cougar in for annual maintenance, and when the tech pulled the prop to do the water pump, he noticed one of the blades had a crack. It was the original Raker 28p that I had worked down to 26p to improve holeshot. The prop was working pretty good, but after reading on the fury I had already considered buying one to test. However, after talking with Croxton, he recommended one of his props in the 26p. Does anyone have ant experience with one of these props? What do you recommend?

I have a 2000 cougar witha 225 optimax that works pretty well. I run a 27 Tempest set at 3″ below the pad. It does have torque when WOT but runs 75 to 76 on good water and temp with a light load. With a fishing load 500lbs of fisherman full tanks and tackle figure 71 to 73.Irv

The 225HO is nasty. Much nastier than a regular 225 opti.Big ports. Much larger than even the 250HO.Id find the tallest three blade I could for it as long as it has a 1.86 case on it- lightning case. Shimmed right it doesnt break. But then why would BRP care to ask anyone when they dont care what anyone but the engineers think anyway?The good thing about that setup is that it wont matter what blade you put on it…GO TALL OR GO HOME AND IT SHOULD FLY.C.O.D. A fury has worked the best on my PIV 200HO, but Ive also got a new Croxton Razor to try out as well.

Thanks for the responses guys. I found a pretty good deal on a barely used fury that I may pick up until Croxton has a prop available, and then I will probably try one out. In the mean time, if anyone runs one of the razor 3, i would like to hear how you like it.
