I guess you have carling switch? There are springy metal clips on both ends of switch that hold it in there, you maybe able to get firm grip and work it out with help from small flathead screw driver or pick to help compress the clips.
Because when I cut it on sometimes my touch pad does not work an I unplugged my touch pad an used my light pen to check the power wires coming from the panel an one lights up but dim then shake the wires an lights bright
